Overview
Associate Dean of Student Affairs at South Louisiana Community College, located in Lafayette, LA.

Jan 24, 2026. This role supports student services and engagement initiatives across departments, with responsibilities across leadership, institutional support, and collaborative partnerships.
- Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Student Central operations, including workflow development, staff training, service delivery, and resolution of student concerns.
- Provide strategic direction for assigned functional areas, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities and student success initiatives.
- Oversee programming that promotes career readiness, leadership development, student engagement, and co-curricular learning.
- Develop initiatives that support students’ academic, emotional, and social well-being, fostering a positive campus climate.
- Direct the planning and execution of career services, testing and assessment, and student engagement initiatives.
- Lead efforts that enhance student retention, satisfaction, and overall engagement.
- Manage Social and Support Services to ensure students have access to resources addressing housing insecurity, food insecurity, crisis support, and related barriers.
- Provide leadership and oversight for grant-funded initiatives, including compliance, reporting, program implementation, budget monitoring, and outcome measurement.
- Support the AVCSA in division-wide planning, policy development, implementation, and assessment, including initiatives related to Title IX education and prevention.
- Lead the RFP and contract process for the Student Health and Wellness initiatives, including evaluation and vendor oversight.
- Build strong collaborative relationships with LCTCS partners and internal departments to streamline the student lifecycle from inquiry to completion.
- Monitor enrollment trends with functional leaders and support initiatives tied to Student Central.
- Co-lead the development and evaluation of the College’s strategic enrollment plan and related performance targets.
- Participate in Title IX response efforts as a back-up Title IX Coordinator.
- Evaluate programs and services using data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement strategies.
- Assist in the development and analysis of institutional research focused on student success outcomes.
- Assess student needs and coordinate appropriate support services, including referrals and supportive measures under Title IX.
- Develop and maintain data reports, dashboards, and performance metrics to inform planning and resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with institutional, LCTCS, state, and federal regulations, including ADA and Title IX.
- Ensure programs and services reflect the diverse needs of the student population and are delivered at high-quality standards.
- Establish goals, outcomes, and key performance indicators for assigned departments.
- Lead assessment efforts to measure effectiveness, efficiency, and impact across all service areas, including grant-funded programs.
- Support consistent, fair and trauma-informed practices in Title IX-related processes.
- Build partnerships with academic departments, employers, community agencies, and wellness/recovery networks to expand student support services and workforce opportunities.
- Represent the division on institutional committees, councils, task forces, and Title IX-related working groups.
- Collaborate with college leaders on cross-functional initiatives related to student success and engagement.
- Cultivate and maintain external partnerships that support and sustain grant-funded programs and expand student resources.
- Support institutional initiatives, foundation projects, and system-wide LCTCS efforts that enhance the student and employee experience.
- Support institution-wide Title IX education, prevention, and awareness efforts in collaboration with the Title IX Coordinator.
- Collaborate with Academic Affairs to create integrated approaches to student learning and success.
- Participate in the development of the division’s annual budget, resource planning, and assessment processes.
- Engage with student services and enrollment management team members to develop cross-functional initiatives that enhance the student experience.
- Foster a collaborative environment that encourages open communication, mutual support, and shared decision-making among staff and stakeholders to enhance student services.
- Promote a culture of knowledge exchange and mentorship to improve student services.
- Support mentorship, staff development, and cross-departmental learning, including training related to Title IX responsibilities.
- Serve as a backup Title IX Coordinator when designated, supporting intake, supportive measures, coordination, and institutional response as needed.
