Position: Truck Driver CDL A Local No Touch

Truck Driver CDL A Local No Touch at Ryder System, Inc. – Ready to drive solo Class A CDL trucks in Lafayette, IN. We hire immediately and pay weekly.

Position Overview

Drive a 36‑month or newer day‑cab 53’ dry‑van with Weekly Guarantee $1,385. Pay includes solo miles ($0.53/mile with 2,500 miles per week), solo stops ($10/stop with 5 stops), drop and hook ($6/drop), shutdown bonus $2,000 in two installments, sign‑on bonus $1,000 at days 30 and 90, and a safety bonus up to $250 per quarter.

Pay & Schedule

• Weekly guaranteed pay: $1,385



Schedule:

Monday–Friday or Tuesday–Saturday (open to AM or PM due to bid system)

• Route: SOLO to 300 mile radius, local home daily

• Vehicle:
Tracked – Day Cab truck, 53’ dry‑van trailer

• Freight:
No‑touch auto parts

Requirements
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Class A CDL with required endorsements
  • Verified solo trucking experience: 9 months in last 3 years, or 2 years in last 5 years, or 5 years in last 10 years
  • Pass Ryder drug test, background check, DOT physical, and road test
  • Pass motor‑vehicle check (drug/alcohol verification from previous employers for last 3 years)
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions and read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules
  • Detect, eliminate, or minimize safety hazards and maintain accurate records and logs
  • Load/unload freight or assist with loading/unloading when required by customer
  • Perform other duties as assigned
