The Field Service Technician will be responsible for transporting, installing (if applicable), and maintaining vending and coffee equipment, replacement parts, tools, and other related items in an organized and structured manner. This team also handles shop rebuilding of vending and office coffee equipment.

Compensation: $25.81 / hour
- Repair and install vending and office coffee equipment to promote continuous operation of the machines.
- Transport equipment, install replacement parts, and perform repairs using tools and other vending equipment at various accounts and locations throughout Detroit and surrounding areas, using a company vehicle.
- Troubleshoot and restore malfunctioning machines to working order in the field.
- Swap failed equipment, clean, and perform minor adjustments on malfunctioning components.
- Communicate effectively and efficiently with dispatchers and clients, running electrical wire and plumbing tubes as needed.
- Respond promptly to customer needs and requests with the goal of ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Support a service-oriented environment that leads others to improve their service actions.
- Maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude with co-workers and customers.
- Follow through with action when a customer makes a special request or asks questions.
- Continuously seek to exceed customer expectations and anticipate their needs ahead of time.
- Complete additional projects and assignments as needed.
- High‑School Diploma or GED with technical experience related to vending coffee machines.
- Experience with small machines and/or vending repairs.
- Basic electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, HVAC, and electronics repair experience and/or education is required.
- Ability to work independently, stay focused and motivated, and manage time appropriately to get work completed on time.
- Comfortable working in a wide range of environments such as plants, hospitals, schools, or corporate buildings.
- Displays a positive attitude with co-workers and customers.
- Lifts from 75–100 lbs regularly and uses various hand tools for installation and maintenance.
- Experience in the vending field is preferred.
- Experience driving commercial vehicles is preferred.
- Willing to collaborate with others and ask for help when needed.
- Willingness to learn about new machines, technologies, and repair techniques.
- Valid and clean driver’s license.
- Detail oriented, diplomatic, and comfortable working in structured environments.
- Able to meet the physical demands of the role which includes frequent lifting, standing, stooping, crouching, climbing, and walking for extended periods.
- Must be comfortable working and driving in extreme weather conditions.
