Travel RN - Med​/Surg Tele

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring a minimum of 18 months of experience, Cerner proficiency, and an IN or Compact RN license.

Job Details

• Hospital-based Med/Surg Telemetry unit,

• Patient population includes primarily medical cases such as COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, COVID-19, chest pain, and small bowel obstruction, with a smaller surgical caseload (approx. 1-3 post-surgical cases/day) including gastric sleeve, gastric bypass, colectomy, mastectomy, appendectomy, and cholecystectomy,

• Patient ratio of 1:6,

• Day shift: 3x12-hour shifts (6:00-18:30),

• Every other weekend required,

• Floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital is required,

• Cerner EMR - experience required,

Job Requirements

• Active IN or Compact RN license currently in hand,

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA or RQI accepted),

• Minimum 18 months to 2 years of RN experience required,

• Telemetry experience required,

• IV insertion skills required,

• Cerner charting experience required,

• Nursing degree from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited institution required,

• Indiana-licensed RNs are not eligible for this position (MS/Tele RN positions are excluded from the IN RN exemption policy),
