• Location: Lafayette, IN 47905 (Purdue University area)
• Position: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical / Resource Team
• Setting: 3rd Floor Resource Team, Med/Surg Units (float pool)
• Assignment Type: Travel assignment / Travel Nurse
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (March 23, 2026 – June 22, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (18:00 – 06:30), every third weekend required
• Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed)
• Unit Size: 27–30 beds
• Patient Ratios: 1:5, 1:6
• EMR: Epic (Epic EMR experience required within the last year)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,800 - $1,890 per week

• Scrub Color: Navy blue scrubs are required for this position.

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — eligible to work in Indiana (LPN/other not accepted)
• Minimum 3 years recent Med/Surg nursing experience (medical-surgical nurse)
• Prior travel nurse experience preferred
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Telemetry experience and ability to monitor/interpret cardiac telemetry
• Epic EMR experience within the last year (documentation and order entry)
• Competency with Alaris and Kangaroo IV pumps preferred
• Must be able to float between three Med/Surg units as part of the Resource Team
• Must pass EKG test upon submission and complete required CBTs prior to clinical orientation

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care across a variety of medical and surgical conditions including ortho, general surgery, GI, renal, oncology, and general medicine
• Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and operate infusion pumps (Alaris, Kangaroo)
• Use Pyxis for medication management and Vocera for team communication
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and respond to changes in cardiac rhythm
• Float between Med/Surg units as assigned in the Resource Team / float pool model
• Document patient care, assessments, and progress in Epic EMR accurately and timely
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (MDs, case management, PT/OT, pharmacy) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Demonstrate flexibility, independence, and strong clinical judgment in a fast-paced environment; proactively ask questions and seek support when needed
