Medical Group Cancer Center InPt and OutPt- Hematology​/Oncology NP

Indiana University Health Medical Group has an exciting career opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner to join its collaborative Oncology team. The practice is located in the beautiful college town of Lafayette (home of Big Ten member Purdue University).

• Days;
  Monday-Friday
• No call
• 50% Outpatient / 50% Inpatient
• Collaborating physicians on site
• Experienced candidates preferred (AOCN and/or OCN certification ideal), however having experience with Oncology patients either in training or prior experience is acceptable.
• Formal orientation in place with our Hematology Oncology department chairman as the onsite mentor
• Patient population:
  Oncology and Hematology adult patients

  Primarily at IU Health Arnett Cancer Care ( 420 North 26th St, Lafayette, IN 47904 ).

• Key responsibilities:
  • Co-manage patients first chemotherapy/immunotherapytreatment, follow up visits and urgent visits.
  • Provide education to patients for chemo, biotherapy, and any infusion service.
  • Staff education and development
  • Covering Inpatient rounding for established Oncology patients
