The Large Power Systems Division in Lafayette, IN currently has an opening for a  
** Distribution Technician** . In this role you will be responsible for material availability for Assembly consumption. The primary focus for the Distribution Technician will be moving material to the assembly line via stand-up, or sit-down fork truck.

** Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:*
* + Moving material to the assembly line via stand-up fork truck

+ Helping Stores Controller maintain inventory accuracy on production parts

+ Making sure material is delivered to point of use in FIFO order

+ Utilizing computer system to input parts orders and move interplant material

* Basic Qualifications:

*
* +  
** Must have at least 2 years of stand-up fork truck experience.*
* + Must have good written and oral communication skills.

+ Self-motivated, safety-conscious individual capable of working independently.

+ Basic computer skills.

** Top Candidates will also:*
* + Be flexible to work overtime as needed to support production demands.

+ Possess and show strong interpersonal skills and apply customer-based focus.

* Physical Requirements:

*
* + Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 40 lbs.

+ Must be able to bend and twist at the waist and be able to squat.

+ Consistent usage of required PPE for task being performed

+ Must be able to stand on concrete for 8+ hours.

+ Position available is on  
** 3rd shift (10:30pm - 6:30am)*
