Chemical Maintenance Technician (Direct Hire)

Shift: 2nd Shift – Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM (Overtime as needed)
Pay: $18.00 – $30.00 per hour (based on education and experience)

Pro Resources is seeking a detail-oriented Chemical Maintenance Technician to join a growing team in
Lafayette, IN
. This position is responsible for supporting production through chemical system maintenance, hazardous waste management, and compliance with environmental and safety regulations.

• Perform batch treatments and tank changeouts for production.
• Operate and maintain wastewater pretreatment systems in compliance with regulations.
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly waste inspections.
• Complete weekly and month-end chemical inventories.
• Maintain filtration systems, plating tanks, and related equipment.
• Receive and warehouse incoming chemicals safely.
• Follow all safety protocols and PPE requirements.
• Support hazardous waste management activities and maintain accurate records.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–5 years of industrial or chemical maintenance experience.
• RCRA, DOT/IATA, and Hazwoper certifications/training.
• Ability to lift/move up to 75 lbs. as needed.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.

• Confined space training/experience.
• Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) knowledge.
• Familiarity with pumps, plumbing, and PLC/PC systems.
• Forklift certification.
• Class C Wastewater Treatment Certification.
