Currently seeking four (4) Process Technicians for large, multinational manufacturing company in Lafayette, IN. Seeking two (2) for 1st Shift, 8am-8pm, working a 2,2,3 shift with overtime paid on anytime worked over 36 hours a week. Additionally, two (2) positions available 8pm - 8am, working a 2,2,3 shift available.

These roles will be present on the floor, working closely with Operators, providing technical support to optimize new and existing manufacturing processes to achieve the production goals of the plant. Works to plan, analyze and control the quality of the manufacturing processes. Provides training on relevant industry processes and equipment.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyzes plant process performance. Suggests and implements actions to drive improvement using expertise in a variety of manufacturing concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Provides support by troubleshooting problems and providing timely solutions to maintain the continuity or production flow.
  • Supports resolution of daily operational issues related to product quality and productivity.
  • Provides support to operations regarding oven setup, run ability issues, drawing does, enameling, and drawing lubricant systems.
  • Exhibits leadership qualities by influence, interaction, and mentoring of Lafayette employees.
  • Monitors and debugs new methods and procedures to ensure system efficiencies.
  • Provides technical support for samples.
  • Reviewed and recommends changes to process documentation.
  • Monitors existing processes to compliance with ISO/IATF documentation.
  • Leads, participates, and assists in problem solving process to develop corrective and preventative actions while proving a technical point of reference.
  • Conducts process training with operations group.
  • Mentors, supervisors and leads activities in the use of process improvement techniques.
  • Maintains a high level of department safety and housekeeping.

QUALIFICATIONS:

At least 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment. Technically competent with a strong handle of LEAN and continuous improvement and practical working knowledge of its concepts. Strong handle of Microsoft Office ( Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook ). Ability to work with and communicate at all levels of the organization. Good analytical skills.
