The client is currently seeking a qualified Field Technician to join their team in Lafayette, IN. The role requires overnight travel from Sunday–Thursday and onsite presence during normal business hours with potential overtime. A valid state driver's license (Real ), clean driving record, and a reliable vehicle are required.

• Upgrade advanced commercial printers at retail locations, including replacing parts, power supplies, print heads, toner drums, transfer belts, and image units.
• Perform complex upgrades and troubleshooting of printers, servers, hard drives, and monitor systems.
• Provide on‑site technical support to internal and external customers, resolving complex or escalated technology issues related to system equipment.
• Install and remove equipment and systems as required.
• Maintain day‑to‑day operation of applications and equipment, serving as the primary customer contact for technical and service‑related problems.
• Ensure accurate and timely resolution of all schedules, transmissions, online systems, and issues.
• Serve as a liaison between customers, departments, and organization to lead problem resolution and change‑management processes.
• Determine the most cost‑effective repair or resolution to minimize customer downtime.

High School/GED

• Minimum 2–3 years of field service experience, specifically with commercial printers.
• Capability for extensive travel by plane and/or car.
• Experience with commercial/largest printers;
  Lexmark certification is a plus.
• Electronics/mechanical aptitude, working knowledge of Windows operating systems, networks, databases, and security concepts.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook.
• Multi‑platform Windows OS experience.
• Knowledge of Rufus, Windows Server imaging, photo printing, system connectivity troubleshooting, and Windows configuration.
• Ability to work independently in a retail environment.
• Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Excellent customer‑service skills and professionalism.
• Clear written and verbal communication with stakeholders, leadership, partners, and customers.
• Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
• Demonstrated capability to achieve results in a fast‑paced, client‑driven environment.

The rate for this position is $18.76–$27.50 per hour. Factors affecting starting pay include geography, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications.
