Job Details:

• Work 3x12-hour shifts

• Mixed acuity unit with medical patients and some PCU level of care patients

• Also serves as oncology and stroke unit

• Patient ratios: MS patients 1:5-6, PCU patients 1:3-4

• Must have experience with Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lasix, Insulin drips, Post Heart Cath, and Post Pace-maker procedures

• Will manage cardizem, amiodarone, and insulin drips

• Will see unstable strokes and BiPap patients

• Must have solid neurological experience

• Will accept MS/Tele or PCU RNs

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

• Must have Indiana state, compact, or Indiana temporary license in hand prior to start

• 1 year of experience required

• Dress code: red top, black bottoms

• Uses Cerner charting system

• Free parking provided

• 36 hours of orientation

• Floating required as needed within hospital or to affiliate hospitals

• Weekend coverage required

• One pre-approved time off allowed

• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays

• Local Indiana residents not accepted for this position

This short-term acute care hospital features 194 staffed beds and provides comprehensive medical services including oncology, stroke, cardiac, gastrointestinal, and pulmonary care. The facility maintains a dynamic mixed acuity progressive care unit that serves both medical surgical and progressive care patients. The hospital offers interdisciplinary support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
