Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour shifts per week

• Mixed acuity unit caring for medical patients with some PCU level of care patients

• Serve as oncology and stroke unit with patient ratios: MS patients 1:5-6, PCU patients 1:3-4

• Manage cardizem, amiodarone, and insulin drips

• Care for unstable stroke patients and BiPAP patients

• Handle oncology, stroke, cardiac, gastrointestinal, and pulmonary cases

• Self-scheduling with acuity-based patient ratios of 1:4-6 during days

• Float as needed within hospital or to affiliate hospitals

• Weekend coverage required with one pre-approved time off day

• 36 hours of orientation provided

• Care for adult and geriatric patients with daily census of 29-31

• Work in 31-room, 31-bed unit

• Must have solid neuro experience and 1 year of nursing experience

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

• Must have experience with cardizem, amiodarone, lasix, insulin drips, post heart cath, and post pacemaker procedures

• Use Cerner charting system

• Dress code: red top, black bottoms

• Free parking provided

• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays

• Indiana state, compact, or Indiana temporary license required prior to start
