Senior Electrical Estimator
MP Baker Electric is a well-established, growing non-union electrical contractor based in Lafayette, Indiana. We are seeking a seasoned estimator who takes pride in producing accurate, competitive bids and collaborating closely with operations, project management, and leadership to set projects up for success.
Salary: $80,000–$100,000 + Benefits
What You’ll Do- Prepare detailed electrical estimates using Con Est Intelli Bid
- Review drawings, specifications, and addenda to define project scope
- Perform labor, material, and equipment takeoffs
- Solicit, evaluate, and level vendor and subcontractor pricing
- Identify project risk, exclusions, and value-engineering opportunities
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and site walks as needed
- Support design-build and negotiated projects
- Assist with project handoffs and coordination with operations
- 7+ years of electrical estimating experience
- Strong commercial and/or industrial electrical background
- Experience with service work and generators is a plus
- Proficiency with Con Est Intelli Bid preferred
- Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and specifications
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to communicate clearly across teams
