Traveling Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Foster a culture of mutual respect and dependability within the project crew.
• Champion teamwork and create strong lines of collaboration.
• Deliver routine updates—weekly and monthly—on progress related to safety, quality, budgeting, scheduling, and identified risks.
• Safety Oversight:
  Set the tone for jobsite safety by modeling a unified commitment to an incident‑and‑injury‑free workplace, tailored to the tasks e charge of enforcing safe work practices, ensuring every accident, close call, and injury is swiftly reported and thoroughly resolved.
• Quality Control:
  Lead with a strong focus on quality by embedding QA/QC principles into every planning and execution phase. Utilize structured tools like the Site Observation Report (SOR) to document issues, monitor compliance, and implement necessary corrections.
• Subcontractor Management:
  Build strong, respectful partnerships with trade contractors using a firm‑but‑collaborative approach, positioning the company as the go‑to builder in the agricultural sector. Encourage a team‑first mindset among subcontractors, reinforcing shared success through core company values. Ensure all parties are protected through well‑managed changes and contract modifications. Exercise discernment in applying pressure when needed or providing support when appropriate, always keeping end goals in focus.
  
  Set expectations of professionalism and structure in all subcontractor interactions. Address performance problems swiftly and directly to minimize risk and prevent project delays.
