Service Porter

Overview

The Service Porter is responsible for supporting the service department by moving, cleaning, and organizing vehicles, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and assisting service advisors, technicians, and customers as needed. This role ensures smooth service operations and a positive customer experience by handling vehicles with care and professionalism.

• Vehicle Handling & Organization:
  • Safely move customer vehicles to and from service lanes, technician work bays, and parking areas.
  • Park and organize vehicles in designated areas to maintain an orderly lot.
  • Deliver vehicles to customers after service is complete.
• Customer Service:
  • Greet customers in a professional and friendly manner upon arrival.
  • Assist customers in locating their vehicles upon pick-up.
  • Provide prompt and courteous assistance as directed by service advisors or management.
• Vehicle Care:
  • Perform light cleaning of vehicles, including washing exterior and vacuuming interior when necessary.
  • Inspect vehicles for damage before and after service and report any issues to management immediately.
• Facility & Equipment Maintenance:
  • Keep service drive, shop, and customer waiting areas clean and free of hazards.
  • Empty trash, maintain shop cleanliness, and ensure proper placement of tools and equipment.
  • Assist with service department deliveries, errands, and parts transportation as requested.

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
