Medical Technologist & Lab Technician, Clinical Research
Lab Technician – Tuesday – Saturday 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Responsibilities- Split and homogenize incoming samples in compliance with standard operating procedures and quality systems.
- Maintain and care for equipment associated with sample processing.
- Prepare test samples by splitting, grinding, and homogenizing aseptically for further testing.
- Clean the workplace and equipment following standard operating procedures and general housekeeping requirements.
- Provide feedback to department management for procedural improvements.
- Monitor and meet turnaround time (TAT) requirements for sample workflow, informing management of any anticipated delays.
- Perform operational qualifications prior to analysis as per standard procedures.
- Log and deliver sample splits to testing departments, obtaining necessary signatures.
- Log, store, and properly discard sample retains according to procedures.
- Perform environmental monitoring as needed.
- Assist in client sample processing with appropriate media and support other technicians in weekly sample preparation and aseptic operations.
- High School Diploma
- Proficiency in computers and Excel
- Ability to work cooperatively and independently
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Interest or focus in science, biology, or microbiology
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
Skills & Qualifications
- Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree preferred
- Experience in food service is beneficial
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Punctual, team player, with a growth mindset
- Experience from a stable work history is advantageous
Work in a production‑based analytical lab with a team of 11 technicians. The lab handles a variety of samples, including protein bars, skincare products, produce, and raw meat, under ambient and cold conditions. Tests conducted include meat study validation and detection of pathogens such as Salmonella, Listeria, and
E. Coli.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lafayette, CO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.50 – $20.00/hr.
