Part-Time Phlebotomist

Overview

IVIRMA North America network of state-of-the-art fertility practices in the United States, is currently seeking a Phlebotomist to join our growing Lafayette practice! This is a part-time position Monday-Friday 6:45am-11:45am.

• Properly identifies patients.
• Performs and explains the process of the venipuncture and/or other specimen collection as required.
• Conducts blood draws, labeling specimens, and centrifuging specimens.
• Stores and transports specimen samples according to the procedures to maintain integrity of the specimen.
• Understands and complies with OSHA and ENV regulations.
• Maintains a clean and stocked phlebotomy area.
• Reassures patients and provides comfort to ease anxieties.

• Completion of a Phlebotomy Program – highly preferred
• Studies level:
  Certification
• Studies area:
  Phlebotomy Program

• 3+ years of recent work performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting – required
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office;
  Word, and Outlook - required
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience - required
