Title:Quality Inspector
Position Type:Full‑Time/Non‑Exempt
Pay Range:$30.00 - $35.10 Hourly (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data)
PositionPurpose:
As a Quality Inspector II you will be responsible for inspecting electrical wiring harnesses, circuit boards, machine parts and mechanical assemblies used in Tendeg deployable antennas, ground support equipment, test equipment, and/or internal development tools. They work closely with engineers and other technicians to ensure that electrical and mechanical systems function efficiently and reliably, and document non‑conformances when they occur.
Job Responsibilities:- Complies with established job safety practices, policies and procedures as specified in plant and corporate directives for the safe performance of the work assignment.
- Advises production when inspection results do not meet customer specifications and create non‑conformance reports.
- Performs record keeping duties as required under the direction of the QA Manager.
- Initiates, reviews, and follows all standard operating procedures (SOPs) for area of responsibility.
- Conduct detailed inspections of aerospace components, structures, systems, and material certifications according to established standards and procedures.
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and precision measurement equipment.
- Verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Document inspection results accurately and thoroughly, including any deviations or non‑conformities.
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other team members to document and resolve quality issues.
- Participate in the development and improvement of inspection processes and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment and ensure proper handling and storage of inspected components.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment.
- Establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the division, the group, and the company.
- Complies with environmental regulations when using, dispensing, or handling hazardous and non‑hazardous materials and wastes.

Education:
- 3-6 years of experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical education or certification in aerospace technology, quality control, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience with GD&T, Zeiss CMM, Faro Arm, Leica and Micro vu preferred.
- IPC-620, IPC-610 and J-STD 001 certifications are preferred but not necessary.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent observational skills.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments and basic hand tools.
