Summary of Position:
This position is responsible for performing repair, replacement, and maintenance tasks as well as assigned tasks in the Yard.
Essential Functions, Duties, and Tasks:
- Able to train other associates on installs and/or repairs.
- Assess availability of units, parts, and supplies.
- Assist installers.
- Complete production and other miscellaneous reports.
- Coordinate defective parts with Parts Department.
- Drive and park car in designated working areas, may drive cars up car ramps for preparation of accessory installation, inspection, or reparations.
- Drive and park car in designated working areas, may drive cars up car ramps for preparation of accessory placement or application of decals or through roof rack station or through mechanical pit.
- Ensure accessories are installed on designated units.
- Follow all safety guidelines.
- Follow safety guidelines and attend safety meetings.
- Inspect finished products being processed incoming materials, parts, and assemblies, etc., for conformance to company and quality standards.

- Knowledge of inventories on PIO and Mechanical Repair warranty.
- Lay out and assemble accessory parts.
- Log processed work into a computer program or tracking system as required.

- Meet or exceed established production and quality standards.
- Meet or exceed established production standards.
- Performs job in a safe manner.
- Read instructions to ensure that all correct accessories are installed according to correct specifications and working properly, knowledge of accessory installations.
- Repair, light vehicle, and heavy vehicle work on vehicles damaged in transit or production.
- Responsible for installation of various accessories, using a variety of air, power, and hand tools.
- Responsible for the installation of various factory accessories and reparations, using a variety of air, power and hand tools.
- Train other associates on installations.
- Use various tools to do mechanical repairs or installations on various factory installs.
- Visually verifies that vehicle is damage free.
- Work as part of a team.
- Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.
- Attend meetings as required.
- Daily clean up.
- Keep tools maintained and secure.
- May remove wrap guard from vehicle exterior.
- Notify supervisor of any workplace hazards or unsafe conditions.
- Other dues as assigned.
- Participate in facility safety efforts by attending monthly safety meetings, report accidents and injuries on appropriate forms, and communicates the procedure to all appropriate customers/vendors and AWC personnel.
- Read and understand VIN numbers, repair orders, purchase orders, purge sheets, and other documents to ensure proper baying of the vehicles into load lines, after the accessory installation is complete.
- Understand policies, including but not limited to company safety policies.
- Upkeep and maintenance of work area.
- Work with limited supervision.
- Other dues as assigned.

- Ability to keep confidential any work documents seen or conversations heard during performance of job duties.
- Ability to pass a driver's safety test at 80% or better.
- Ability to read and understand SDS.
- Ability to read schematics.
- Ability to stand, walk, and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to train others.
- Able to drive both standard and automatic automobiles.
- Able to lift 50 pounds.
Education, Experience, and
Minimum Requirements:
- 12th-grade reading and writing skills.
- Computer skills.
- Follow directions, both written and verbal.
- Good visual ability.
- Positively represent AWC.
- Valid ASE Certified Master Technician.
