Quality Technician

Seeking to hire a Quality Technician for an exciting opportunity to work with an aerospace supplier.

Responsibilities
  • Work with receiving inspection to document supplier non-conformances in the Intelex database.
  • Assist in the issuance and follow-up on supplier non-conformances in the Intelex database to ensure timely supplier responses.
  • Review supplier’s submitted root cause and corrective actions to prevent recurrence and close non-conformances in the Intelex database as required.
  • Assist in creating certification packages, first articles, and configuration audits as needed.
  • Assist the Quality Manager in approving supplier PPAPs.
  • Contact suppliers for their Quality System Certificate to maintain status in the Supplier Master List (SML).
  • Ensure continued compliance to AS9100 by creating and revising quality documents before submitting to the Chief Inspector for approval.
  • Perform root cause and corrective actions for delivery errors in the Intelex database, including 8D’s and 5-why analysis.

  • Create and revise process flow charts and control plans, including training plant personnel to new revisions.
  • Support the Chief Inspector by performing initial, recurrent, and annual compliance trainings.
  • Support the Chief Inspector in performing PFMEA reviews.
  • Support the Chief Inspector in the Part Production Approval Process (PPAP) including gage R&Rs and capability studies when process, supplier, material changes are made.
  • Manage the audit process for both Quality and EHS areas, ensuring audits are performed and completed according to the yearly schedule.
  • Present work to 2nd and 3rd party auditors.
  • Follow all plant safety regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
  • Inspection and quality control expertise.
  • Proficiency in using calipers, micrometers, and gages.
  • Experience in visual inspection and quality assurance.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and maintain quality standards.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.

Work Environment

The work environment is climate-controlled with a business casual dress code, requiring a blue coat in the work area. The position operates Monday through Friday from 2pm to 10:30pm, with additional hours and weekends as needed. Steel-toed shoes are required, and all tools are provided. Employees must pass a Near Vision Eye Test to Jaeger 1 and a Color Perception test.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 – $27.00/hr.
