Overview
RN | Float Pool | Nights – Concord Hospital Health System (Concord Hospital – Laconia). The float team offers the opportunity to use diverse clinical skills across a variety of acute care settings, with exposure to medical/surgical or critical care units and ongoing opportunities to develop skills.
Responsibilities- Bases nursing actions by applying purposeful, organized thinking to make clinical judgments/decisions.
- Gathers data through history taking and physical assessment and interprets data to plan and implement interventions to meet patient care needs.
- Develops, evaluates and revises patient plans of care and nursing actions in response to patient needs.
- Documents care provided and patient progress toward outcomes.
- Directs and supervises others in delegated nursing activities.
- Teaches patients and/or significant others about the plan of care. Prepares patients to manage their care after discharge, transfer or procedures/tests.
- Manages time and resources to deliver patient care.
- Administers medications to patients and provides direct patient care.
- Leads the health care team and serves as a resource person for the assigned shift.
- Serves as a preceptor for new employees.
- Performs job-specific requirements and other duties as assigned.
- Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing, BSN preferred.
- Registered Nurse – New Hampshire Board of Nursing.
- Basic Life Support – American Heart Association.
- One year prior clinical nursing experience. Evidence of working effectively with patients, care providers, and the multidisciplinary team. Evidence of ability to function as a team member.
The physical demands and work environment are representative of those encountered in essential nursing functions.
