Purchasing Manager – Aerospace Precision Manufacturing at Round-Peg Solutions (RPS).

We are seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead strategic procurement efforts and drive operational excellence across the supply chain.
Responsibilities- Lead all aspects of the purchasing function, ensuring timely, cost-effective sourcing of materials and services.
- Build and manage strategic relationships with key suppliers and vendors to support production demands and business objectives.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual terms, quality standards, and delivery schedules.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes to reduce risk, improve efficiency, and optimize cost.
- Oversee purchasing budgets, forecasts, and spend analytics aligned with business goals.
- Mitigate supply chain risks related to quality, cost, delivery, and availability.
- Support international sourcing strategies and lead implementation of Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders in operations, engineering, and quality to align procurement strategy with overall business needs.
- Use ERP/MRP systems to manage materials planning and procurement workflows.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Materials Management, Operations, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership experience in procurement within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience in international supply chain management and VMI programs.
- APICS or similar supply chain/purchasing certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
