Overview
Lakes Region Community Services is accepting applications for a full-time (37.5 hours per week) Early Supports and Services (ESS) Professional to join our Family Resource Center. The ESS Professional will work with children from birth to age three who have developmental delays and/or disabilities to develop an Individualized Family Support Plan to support the child’s development. The ESS Professional will work with a supportive, dynamic team within the Family Resource Center to connect the family to needed resources.
The right candidate will balance providing hands-on services with efficiently completing paperwork. Effective communication skills, excellent time management, and the ability to work independently are essential.
- Collaborate with families of infants and toddlers to assess needs and develop an Individualized Family Support Plan to support the child’s development.
- Provide hands-on early supports and services in the family’s natural environment as appropriate.
- Coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to connect families to community resources and services.
- Maintain accurate documentation and complete required paperwork in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with families and team members and manage time efficiently to meet program expectations.
- Local travel to meet families in their natural environment is required.
- Flexibility in hours; some remote work is possible.
- An Associate Degree in education or human services related field with relevant experience is required.
- A Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, or license/certification is preferred.
- Experience with working with children under 3 is preferred.
