$19.50/hr – $23.00/hr

• Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy and other Pharmacy Department duties in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. If certified (PTCB or ExCPT), assist with and coach pharmacy technicians in the operation of pharmacy systems and cash registers.
• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Provide customer service best practices, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with most valuable customers.
• Review and comply with the Walgreens Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
• Perform duties assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist and Store Manager, including entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, checking for interactions, and maintaining workflow.
• Report prescription errors to pharmacist immediately and adhere to Company policies and the Quality Improvement Program.
• Adhere to Walgreens policy regarding Good Faith Dispensing during dispensing activities.
• Register all related sales on assigned cash register, handle cash, and assist customers in the OTC aisle when possible.
• Handle telephone calls that do not require pharmacist attention, including those to physicians.
• Process manual claims for third‑party prescription services and perform other clerical duties.
• Assist inventory management activities such as ordering, unpacking, checking and storing shipment of pharmaceuticals, and filing claims for warehouse overages and shortages.
• Assist pharmacist in administering clinical services, labeling samples, and coordinating with Walgreens healthcare clinics and external providers.
• Assist Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist in developing and maintaining relationships with the local medical community and outreach to health groups.
• Maintain the Pharmacy Department stocked with supplies and a clean, neat, and orderly appearance.
• Comply with all company policies and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

• Earn and maintain PTCB or ExCPT certification through the designated training program and/or state required certification/registration.
• Attend training, complete PPLs requested by Manager, and acquire continuing education credits. Maintain knowledge of healthcare and pharmacy developments.

• Fluent reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.

• Preferred six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Preferred prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Preferred good math skills for accurate prescription filling.
• Preferred good computer skills.
• Preferred knowledge of store inventory control.
• Preferred PTCB or ExCPT certification.
