This position is responsible for providing business unit analysis of end-user business needs and creating or configuring third party application products to meet defined needs. This position will also be responsible for identifying and assisting in or resolving issues of moderate complexity in support of business automation needs. Engineer may be proficient in either custom or packaged systems development or configuration activities.
The scope of business analysis duties is largely within a single business unit at any given time. The engineer should be proficient in Microsoft Team Foundation Server and/or Azure Dev Ops relative to user stories, source control, branch/merge and pipelines.
- Up to half of the candidate's time could be spent assisting the IT Software Assurance Engineer in validating and verifying software applications in accordance with regulations.
- Solid working knowledge, experience in, and understanding of manual and automatic testing concepts, methods, and processes preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or computer science; or a combination of associate degree and one year of related work experience; or 3+ years of related work experience.
- Minimum one year of experience in business analysis and programming computer software applications.
- PC proficiency with good working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access).
- Thorough working knowledge of personal computers, database concepts, and networks.
- PC proficiency with good working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office products, Team Foundation Server, Azure Dev Ops, and associated Microsoft based tools.
- Ability to identify and resolve simple to moderately complex problems.
- Ability to create business programs in the Visual Studio environment using .NET and C#.
- Knowledge of Team Foundation Server and/or Azure Dev Ops.
- Ability to create and manipulate data stores using the SQL Server suite of products.
- Ability to facilitate one-on-one interviews and small group (2-4 person) sessions.
