Manager Security

Overview

As our Manager Security
, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing all security operations to ensure the safety of employees, visitors, facilities, and assets. You will provide leadership to security supervisors and staff, develop policies and procedures, manage incident response, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain a secure environment.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and manage comprehensive security programs, policies, and procedures
• Provide leadership to the Security team
• Analyze incident reports, security data, and trends to identify risks and recommend corrective actions
• Oversee incident response, investigations, and follow-up actions, including coordination with law enforcement or emergency services
• Apply conflict resolution and de-escalation strategies to safely resolve incidents and minimize risk
• Manage security continuous training programs
• Develop and manage security staffing plans, schedules, and coverage requirements
• Coordinate all contracted security services utilizing security vendors
• Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and safety regulations
• Oversee access control, surveillance systems, alarms, and other security technologies to ensure the most efficient, modern and compliant protection systems
• Develop and maintain annual operating budget for the Security department across all facilities
• Maintain record keeping and distribution of high security keying system
• Participate in emergency preparedness planning and drills
• Abide by all policies and procedures of Oriental Trading Company
• Maintain regular, predictable attendance
• Work requires in-person collaboration among colleagues and contractors
• Must be able to attend face to face meetings on short or little advance notice

• May be required to perform any of the above functions at any of the company locations
• May require occasional availability outside normal business hours to address critical or emergency matters
• Performs other duties and projects assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to adapt to changing environments
• High degree of independent judgment to make sound decisions
• Strong knowledge of Security operations, emergency procedures, and safety protocols
• Proficiency with personal computers and security-related software systems
• Detail oriented, organized and possess excellent follow-through skills
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple responsibilities
• Provide personalized customer service of the highest level and safeguard confidential information
• Ability to be trained as a first responder and CPR certified

• Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, related field or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred

• Minimum 5-7 years of security supervisor experience
• Local, state or federal law enforcement related experience preferred

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• A valid driver’s license and driving record in accordance with OTC standards is required for operation of company vehicles
• Must be able to walk frequently, use elevators and climb open grate stairways
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to perform job duties in a safe manner
