ESU 2 is accepting applications for a School Psychologist for the school year.
Key Responsibilities:- Assessment & Identification:
Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations to determine eligibility for Special Education services including cognitive, academic, social-emotional, and behavioral assessments - Consultation:
Partner with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop classroom interventions and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) - Data-Driven Advocacy:
Utilize data to monitor student progress and evaluate the effectiveness of individual, group, and classroom interventions. - Behavioral Support:
Lead the development of Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
- Education:
Specialist (Ed.S.), or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an NASP-approved program - Certification:
Valid Nebraska Educator License with a School Psychologist endorsement - Maintain confidentiality regarding school and student information, including sensitive matters and administrative decisions
- Respect the dignity and self-worth of all students and coworkers
- Serve as a positive role model for appropriate personal interactions and communication
