Tax Preparer

Description We are looking for a skilled Tax Preparer to join our team on a contract basis in LaVista, Nebraska. In this role, you will focus on preparing individual tax returns with precision and efficiency. This position offers an excellent opportunity to utilize your tax expertise and software skills in a detail-oriented CPA firm environment.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and review individual tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance with current tax regulations.

- Utilize Lacerte Tax software to efficiently manage tax preparation tasks and maintain organized records.

- Analyze financial information to identify potential tax-saving opportunities for clients.

- Communicate with clients to gather necessary documentation and address any questions or concerns.

- Ensure all tax filings are completed and submitted by established deadlines.

- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to provide accurate services.

- Collaborate with team members to resolve complex tax-related issues.

- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards while handling sensitive client information. Requirements - Minimum of 1 year of experience in tax preparation, specifically for individual tax returns.

- Proficiency with Lacerte Tax software or similar tax preparation platforms.

- Strong knowledge of current tax laws and regulations.

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.

- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients.

- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.
