Job Description
The Food Pantry Assistant will assist with transporting food, putting away or packing food, distributing food, provide office work support and maintenance. Two openings are available for this position, with a starting pay of $19.00 per hour.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
This position is open to applicants who are CURRENTLY ENROLLED AT ULV AND HAVE AN ACTIVE FEDERAL WORK STUDY award.
- Assist with transporting food
- Put away or pack food
- Distribute food
- Provide office work support and maintenance
- Able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
- Personal Computer experience with proficiency in MS Office (Word & Excel)
- Positive and can-do attitude and willingness to work with volunteers
- Strong communication skills and the ability to be a team player
- Ability to follow oral and/or written instructions
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
Approx. 6-8 hours per week, M-F. Actual work schedule TBD based on student schedule. Job opening is off site, and students must have their own transportation to/from Shepherd’s Pantry in Irwindale, CA.
