Shift: Weekend 3rd shift, Friday – Sunday morning and holidays, 10:00 pm – 6:00 am
Pay: $30.00 – $34.00 per hour

As a Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst, you will monitor our client’s environment for cyberthreats. This is an onsite position in La Verne, CA.

We are in need of a Part Time SOC Analyst. This role offers the opportunity to work with seasoned cybersecurity professionals experienced in leading conferences such as Black Hat, DEFCON, RSAC, and BSides. CAI is willing to support individuals in attaining one security certification during employment.

• Provide direct support to the client’s team and efforts
• Monitor for cyberthreats
• Conduct cyber‑threat hunting
• Support cyber incident response activities
• On‑site analysts may be assigned to the incident response team as the situation may dictate

• 0–1 year of general experience or coursework related to cybersecurity, IT security, or network monitoring
• Familiarity with security tools, alerting systems, or log analysis
• Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking
• Understanding of Windows core processes
• Understanding of authentication, authorization, and accounting processes and methods
• Ability to follow structured processes, document findings, and elevate issues
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to multitask effectively and balance multiple projects at once
• Only U.S. citizens will be considered for this position

• Cybersecurity certifications such as ISC(2) CCS, ISC(2) SSCP, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst+

• Ability to safely perform essential job functions consistent with ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
• Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
