Job DescriptionThe University of La Verne is a private not-for-profit university founded in 1891, located in La Verne, California. The core values that we live by are Ethical Reasoning, Diversity and Inclusivity, Lifelong Learning, and Community and Civic Engagement.
We are currently accepting applications on an ongoing basis from individuals interested in assignments teaching part-time for the undergraduate biology program.
The successful candidate will be expected to provide instruction in a variety of courses, including but not limited to:
Physical Science, Geology, Public Health, and the associated laboratories.

Required Qualifications- Master’s degree in a related field from a regionally-accredited institution with at least one year experience as a teaching assistant at the collegiate-level (full course responsibility preferred).
- Doctorate Degree in a related field from a regionally-accredited institution with at least one year experience as a teaching assistant at the collegiate-level (full course responsibility preferred).
- The Equivalent. Certain combinations of education, experience, and other accomplishments in the field may be judged as equal to the stated minimum qualifications for this position.
Preference will be given to candidates who have prior teaching experience at the college or university level and who can furnish evidence of strong teaching.

Hiring Pay Rate – Hiring Salary Per Hiring Rank:
Adjunct Instructor (no terminal degree): $27.04;
Adjunct Professor (with terminal degree): $28.08.
