Job Description Summary
The Student Worker Assistant plays an important role in supporting the History & Political Science Department by completing customer service, clerical, special event and social media related duties. They will work collaboratively with a team of student workers led by the Department Manager to plan, create and publish social media campaigns and outreach related activities with the goal of increasing engagement between potential students, current students and alumni, and advancing department and university initiatives.
Job Description Summary
The Student Worker Assistant plays an important role in supporting the History & Political Science Department by completing customer service, clerical, special event and social media related duties. They will work collaboratively with a team of student workers led by the Department Manager to plan, create and publish social media campaigns and outreach related activities with the goal of increasing engagement between potential students, current students and alumni, and advancing department and university initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
Responsible, detail-oriented and organized. Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong functional knowledge of social media principles, practices, and the desire to apply that knowledge in a professional environment. Experience creating videos and posts for Instagram. Basic understanding of social trends and a willingness to explore. Excellent project management skills to consistently meet deadlines. Applicants must be currently enrolled at University of La Verne in a degree seeking program and, if hired, be enrolled in six credits or more each semester.

Experience with :
Microsoft Office Suite Adobe Creative Cloud Canva Word Press
Work Schedule
Weekdays, some evenings. Hours based on student’s availability.
