Overview

The purpose of this position is to provide professional administrative support to the Director of Strategic Engagement & Communications. Responsibilities include assisting with digital communications, video production, website and social media presence, event planning and execution, clerical tasks, and survey creation and distribution.

Responsibilities
  • Provide professional administrative support to the Director of Strategic Engagement & Communications.
  • Assist with digital communications, video production, website and social media presence.
  • Support event planning and execution and perform clerical tasks.
  • Create and distribute surveys as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be a current University of La Verne student with Federal Work Study eligibility for the  academic year.
  • Experience in a professional, customer-focused environment.
  • Experience with video editing, videography, and/or photography, and/or graphic/web design, especially within the context of social media.
  • Interest in all aspects of communications with an aptitude for video editing and production.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Office 365, Google Apps, and similar cloud-based platforms; comfortable using and learning a range of software and hardware tools.
  • Strong relational and organizational skills; ability to manage own assignments and work independently with limited supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Adobe CC or Final Cut, metadata tagging, and/or database management.
  • Ability to facilitate work within both Windows and OS X environments.
Work Schedule

This position will work on campus.
