United Co-op is committed to providing its customers with the highest-quality agricultural products and services to meet the needs of its farmers across 11 retail locations. They are looking for a CDL driver to work across locations, primarily from their Waverly, TN, branch location. The ideal candidate will be an overall customer service‑driven team player who can also work well independently.
Interested applicants should already possess a Class A CDL driver’s license. They will be primarily responsible for transporting, spraying, and spreading products. When not delivering or administering products, this individual will assist with sales, warehousing, and the movement of agronomic and other agricultural products. A general knowledge of agricultural products and operations is preferred. Our truck drivers can expect to be home each night.
- High School / GED Diploma
- Class A Commercial Driver’s license (CDL) required
- One year of commercial driving experience preferred
- Fertilizer spreading and/or bulk chemical application experience is preferred but not required
- General knowledge of agriculture products and equipment
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with team members and customers
- Self-reliant and able to accurately work under limited and remote supervision
- Loads and drives truck to deliver fertilizer, seed, chemicals, and other supplies to customer locations
- Picks up goods and materials, loads and unloads cargo, verifies shipments for accuracy, and delivers them as instructed
- Applies fertilizer and/or chemicals to various crops with company trucks and equipment
- Records sales or provides information on daily sales or delivery records with accuracy
- Listens to and resolves service complaints
- Organizes and warehouses stock on shelves and racks while operating front‑end loaders in warehouses as needed
- Performs pre‑inspection, routine maintenance, and cleaning of the truck and other equipment
- Adheres to all safety regulations and procedures
- Provides exceptional customer service to farmer members and other patrons of United Co-op
