Position SummaryThe Business Analyst (BA), JDE Distribution/ Warehouse Management, Functional/ Technical, is responsible for supporting and enhancing the daily operations of our Distribution and Warehouse processes in JD Edwards (JDE). This person will work closely with the distribution and warehouse teams to collect business requirements, review and approve functional and technical design changes, write orchestrations, and recommend and implement JDE solutions. As part of the implementation process, the BA will also lead and participate in ERP projects.
Daily duties will include problem‑solving and support for business teams, requiring a high level of customer service, problem‑solving, and collaboration abilities.
- Provide support for the integration and implementation of JDE processes in all Distribution and Warehouse Management modules.
- Participate in system upgrades, assisting in planning and testing.
- Continuously gain an understanding of the customers' operations and how systems are used in support, transferring knowledge to users, IT business analysts, and programmers.
- Stay abreast of new JDE releases and applications and present opportunities for improvement to business units and management.
- Determine functional requirements and recommend workable JDE solutions to business operations, management, and IT staff.
- Work cross‑functionally with other business analysts to provide fully integrated JDE solutions.
- Develop new or modify existing software configurations to satisfy ongoing business needs.
- Participate in the preparation of business cases, including project charters, cost justifications, solution documentation, third‑party package selection recommendations, and other documents as needed.
- Develop reports from the system as needed.
- Assist other business analysts and programmers in the development and implementation of new processes and enhancements.
- Monitor financial operations and functionality and make recommendations for fixes and improvements.
- Work closely with business teams to improve master data and daily operations.
- Provide on‑site and remote end‑user training as needed for new processes and enhancements.
- Provide one‑on‑one or small group refresher/intermediate/advanced training as required by users.
- Respond to Help Desk requests in a timely fashion.
- Maintain monitoring of the integrity of the JD Edwards system.
- Work with users to enhance and/or develop new systems and techniques to do their jobs more efficiently, including initiating or facilitating kaizen events.
- Execute approved changes to task menus to enhance end‑user functionality.
- Perform all other duties, assignments, and special projects that may be required from time to time.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a high level of personal integrity.
- Working knowledge of how to create transaction specification documents.
- Expert‑level JDE Financials and Distribution capabilities, functional and technical.
- Experienced user of Microsoft Office.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum five (5) years of JDE configuration and project experience with a focus in financials.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and participate in JDE Finance and Distribution projects.
- Up to 20% travel.
