Physical Therapist

  • We have an exciting role for the passionate Therapist in a progressive hospital setting. The selected Therapist will participate in weekly counseling sessions regarding patient care and confer with other departments with input. You will perform the initial evaluation, formulate a plan of care and use your LEADERSHIP SKILLS to oversee the care provided by a Physical Therapy Assistant. Overall, your input will be sought after from physicians, physical therapy students and new employees as what you do is critical to the success of the Rehabilitation Services
  • You will report to and work closely with the Physical Therapy Director

Qualifications

Education

  • Required:

    N/A
  • Preferred:
    Bachelor’s Degree or certificate or better

Licensure/Certification

  • Required:

    CA physical Therapist license or licensed applicant. American Heart Association BLS

Experience

Preferred:
Experience in out- patient orthopedics. Neuro/balanced vestibular knowledge helpful. Continued education & Training provided and new grads welcomed

Setting
:
Hospital O/P with occasional I/p

Schedule
:
Full Time, Day 4x10

Essential Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violation.
  • Performs evaluation and established treatment plans based on age specific, cultural, and rehabilitative needs and in compliance of hospital licensing and accreditation standards and in compliance with the Physical Therapy Practice Act.
  • Consistently and appropriately delegates patient treatment procedures and modalities.
  • Provides safe and comprehensive discharge planning.
  • Individual productivity meets department standards.
  • Provides thorough, timely, legible, and consistent patient care documentation.
  • Utilizes all resources to assist with patient flow as applicable (prints forms, schedules patients, etc.).
  • Provides effective education and mentoring for student interns as assigned.
  • Participates in special department programs.
  • Facilitates interdisciplinary communication and coordination to maximize patient outcomes.
