lays out, fabricates, assembles, installs and maintains piping and piping systems, fixtures and equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling and industrial processing systems.

functional requirements include selecting size and type of pipe and related material according to job specifications; inspecting work sites to determine obstructions and ensure holes won t cause structural weakness; planning installation sequence to avoid obstructions and conflicts with other workers; cutting, threading and bending pipe; assembling and installing metal and nonmetal pipe fittings; joining pipe by threaded, caulked, soldered, brazed, fused or cemented joints;

securing pipe to structures; installing and maintaining refrigeration and air-conditioning systems; testing piping system for leaks.

• 4 years of experience in specified skill (depending on mechanic level)
• written pre-employment qualification test
• post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
• hazard communication orientation/test

• osha approved corrective eyewear (z87)
• job site orientation
• job site safety requirements as required (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.)
• safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.)
