Position: Production and Control Manager (Gas Products)

Job Purpose

The Production and Control Manager (Gas Products) leads the operational processes of IMTEC Services in partnership with MRC Global from a materials planning and operational execution perspective, inclusive of managing processes and team members.

Key

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Oversee the production process, assign work tasks to the varying areas, and manage the release of work orders.
  • Maintain the master data in the MPS software to ensure it always meets customer specifications and requirements.
  • Ensure that the meter data management files are properly produced, sent, and audited.
  • Ensure quality standards are met.
  • Monitor the production processes and adjust schedules as needed.
  • Liaise with the warehouse manager, supply chain at MRC Global, and IMTEC CEO to ensure customer requirements for delivery are met.
  • Work with staff to implement the company's policies and goals.
  • Supervise and motivate a team of workers.
  • Review worker performance.
  • Identify training needs.
  • Lead production meetings and safety moments daily.
  • Perform audits of the operational processes.
  • Ensure work processes are available for regular and ongoing training.
  • Ensure visual factory aids are in place to create a collaborative work environment.
  • Ensure strong collaboration with engineering, metrology, and finance to ensure the business is operating to the KPIs of the operational plan.
  • Properly communicate and solve challenges to best serve the customer.
  • Reporting & Leadership of Operational KPIs as defined by the IMTEC CEO.
  • Ensure team members are working in line with MRC Global HR policies, procedures, and practices as defined in the HR handbook.
  • Ensure team member time is being properly reported.
  • Ensure the fiscally responsible operation of IMTEC Services as it relates to on‑site procurement of MRO, supplies, and services. This includes ensuring proper practices and approval for purchases are being followed as required by the Principal Accountant and CEO.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Required Experience
  • Post‑secondary training in Operations & Production Management, Production & Inventory Management, or a similar discipline, and 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Manufacturing planning and organization skills to be able to run and monitor the production process.
Skills & Abilities
  • Judgment and decision‑making ability in order to act decisively and solve staff, client, or equipment‑related problems.
  • Information gathering and monitoring skills to grasp concepts easily.
  • Attention to detail to ensure high levels of quality and accuracy and perform meticulous record maintenance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate clearly and persuasively with your team, managers, and clients.
  • Organizational and planning skills to be effective under pressure and motivate others to meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to understand customer specifications and requirements.
  • Problem analysis and problem‑solving skills.
  • Sound leadership skills with the ability to take initiative, be adaptable, and lead with tact and discretion.
