Our client in La Porte is seeking an HR Business Partner to serve as a strategic and hands-on partner to business leaders in a manufacturing/industrial environment. This role plays a critical part in aligning people strategies with operational goals while supporting day-to-day HR execution.
Responsibilities- Partner with business leaders to understand workforce needs and align HR strategies with operational and growth objectives.
- Build trusted relationships across assigned sites, departments, and leadership teams.
- Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices, ensuring consistent and compliant application.
- Partner with HR teams to implement and deliver HR programs, training, and initiatives that support business objectives.
- Coach and advise leaders on performance management, employee development, and organizational change.
- Lead employee relations matters, including investigations and conflict resolution, ensuring fair and timely outcomes.
- Support talent management initiatives such as workforce planning, succession planning, succession planning, and leadership development.
- Partner with leadership on compensation analysis to support market competitiveness and internal equity.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and HR-related regulatory requirements.
- Analyze HR data and metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities; provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Conduct exit interviews, analyze turnover trends, and collaborate on engagement and retention strategies.
- Provide regular updates to HR leadership on progress, impact, and key HR initiatives.
- Perform other duties as needed to support the business.
- Bachelor’s degree required (Human Resources, Business, or related field)*
- 3+ years of experience operating in an HR Business Partner capacity*
- 3–5 years of total HR experience*
- Working knowledge of employee relations, performance management, and HR compliance
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Strong business acumen with a desire to understand operations and how the organization generates revenue
- Ability to balance strategic partnership with tactical HR execution
- Sound judgment in employee relations and risk management
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret trends and communicate insights clearly
- Strong communication skills and comfort advising leaders at multiple levels
- Growth mindset and commitment to continuous improvement
