Maritime Instructor

This is a full-time on-site role for a Maritime Instructor based in La Porte, TX. The Maritime Instructor will be responsible for delivering training courses, developing course materials, and providing guidance to students on maritime industry practices and regulations. The role involves maintaining a safe learning environment, staying updated on industry standards, and utilizing effective teaching methodologies. The instructor will also ensure compliance with maritime guidelines and contribute to program development to enhance students’ learning experiences.

• Expertise in maritime operations, safety protocols, and industry standards
• Experience in curriculum development, instructional design, and teaching strategies
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of students, staff, and faculty
• Proficiency in relevant technology and tools for teaching and training in the maritime sector
• Relevant certifications and licenses (e.g., USCG credentials or equivalent) are a plus
• Experience in the maritime industry and a passion for mentoring future professionals
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; advanced degree preferred
