CTE Criminal Justice Teacher position available for the school year at La Porte High School:
Job Description Criminal Justice Teacher is to teach assigned courses within the Career and Technical Education Department. Course to be taught for the school year is Principles of Criminal Justice. Teacher is to create a classroom environment for students to learn effectively. Teacher will follow Indiana State Standards for course taught.

Trade & Industrial Law Enforcement 9-12 - Rules 2002:
Trade & Industrial Law Enforcement - REPA:
Trade & Industrial Law Enforcement 5-12 - Or possess the appropriate work experience and training to qualify for an Indiana Workplace Specialist license
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Teaches District approved curriculumCreates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the studentsPrepares for classes assignedTakes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilitiesExperience in Skyward Student Management and CanvasEmploys a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media; consistent with the physical limitations of the location provided and the needs and capabilities of the individuals or student groupsGuides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and in harmony with the goals—established clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects, and the like to communicate these objectives to studentsAssists the administration in implementing all policies and rules governing student life and conduct for the classroom; develops reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedure, and maintains order in the classroom in a fair and just mannerAssesses the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provides progress reports as requiredEvaluates pupils’ academic and social growth; keeps appropriate records and prepares progress reports.Encourages students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior administrative regulationsIs available to students and parents for education-related purposes outside the instructional dayPerforms other related duties, as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the school dutiesBefore an individual (permanent or substitute) can work with students or have his/her name submitted for approval to the Board of School Trustees, the candidate must complete the background check authorization (at a cost of $15.00--cash or check) and the background check must receive a "cleared" rating. Additionally, the individual must complete a federal I-9 form (providing appropriate identification documents); tax forms;
a direct-deposit form (with an attached voided check); and, view training videos at the Educational Services Center (approximately one hour in length).
