- Maintenance Electrician

Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on manufacturing and electrical equipment and systems according to established procedures.

2nd Shift: 1:30 pm - 10:30 pm

• Ensures reliability of machinery and equipment by completing preventive maintenance on machinery and systems.
• Performs mechanical, electrical, PLC, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of equipment.
• Reads and interprets equipment manuals, diagrams, sketches, engineering specifications, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Uses hand tools and measuring instruments to determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts.
• Assembles, installs, adjusts, and calibrates mechanical and electrical machinery and equipment. Dismantles, repairs, rebuilds, and replaces equipment and parts as needed.
• Adheres to all plant safety policies. Participates in plant-wide safety, housekeeping, Operational Excellence, and Lean Manufacturing programs.
• Provides assistance and guidance to junior maintenance colleagues.
• Executes preventive maintenance on machines and electrical cabinets, including cleaning, tightening terminals, replacing damaged devices, organizing cables, grounding components, replacing sensors, and cables to the field.
• Manages Work orders on eMaint platform to report executed tasks on the machines.
• Familiar with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC); able to diagnose bad input/output cards.
• Executes predictive maintenance to main power cabinets using thermographic camera.
• Troubleshoots electrical faults on machines and devices.
• Performs root cause analysis for major breakdowns on machines.
• Replaces and configures servo drives, VFDs, and HMIs.
• Replaces and troubleshoots 480 VAC and 120 VAC motors; servo motors as needed.
• Basic Electrical and Industrial Safety, AC/DC Circuits and Machinery, Electrical Troubleshooting.
• Reads and interprets electrical blueprints and schematics; applies NEC requirements; troubleshoots control circuits, motors, and motor control centers.
• Performs work requiring knowledge of electrical theory and equipment operation; installs and maintains electrical systems and controls.
• Analyzes circuits, wiring diagrams, and drawings to install, repair, calibrate, service, and replace electronic devices and systems.

Additional duties as assigned.

• Preferred - Electrician Journeyman License
• Preferred - Electrician Industrial License
• Typically possesses a high school diploma (or equivalent) or technical training and 3+ years of recent experience in an industrial/manufacturing maintenance position
• Must have completed a minimum of the following courses from an accredited source or demonstrated knowledge via job experience

• Ability to select and operate appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment
• Operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery and electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
