Job Description

Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on manufacturing and electrical equipment and systems according to established procedures.

3rd Shift

9:00 pm – 5:30 am

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensures reliability of machinery and equipment by completing preventive maintenance on machinery and systems.
  • Performs tasks including mechanical, electrical, PLC, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of equipment.
  • Reads and interprets equipment manuals, diagrams, sketches, engineering specifications, and work orders.
  • Uses hand tools and measuring instruments to determine dimensional changes of parts.
  • Assembles, installs, adjusts, calibrates mechanical and electrical machinery and equipment; dismantles, repairs, rebuilds, and replaces parts as needed.
  • Adheres to all plant safety policies; participates in plant-wide safety, housekeeping, Operational Excellence, and Lean Manufacturing programs.
  • Provides assistance and guidance to junior maintenance colleagues.
  • Executes preventive maintenance on machines and electrical cabinets, including cleaning, tightening terminals, replacing devices, organizing cables, grounding components, and replacing bad sensors and control cables.
  • Manages work orders on eMaint platform to report executed tasks.
  • Familiar with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and capable of diagnosing bad input/output cards.
  • Executes predictive maintenance on main power cabinets using thermographic camera.
  • Troubleshoots electrical faults on machines and electrical devices.
  • Conducts root cause analysis for major breakdowns on machines.
  • Replaces and configures Servo drives, VFD’s and HMI’s.
  • Replaces and troubleshoots 480 VAC motors, 120 VAC motors, and servo motors.
  • Applies basic electrical and industrial safety, AC DC circuits, machinery, and electrical troubleshooting.
Additional Electrical Responsibilities
  • Perform work requiring thorough knowledge of electrical theory, statutory codes, and operation of electrical equipment.
  • Analyze circuits, wiring diagrams, and drawings to install, repair, calibrate, service, and replace electronic devices and systems.
  • Dismantle, inspect, and replace electrical machinery and replace defective electrical or mechanical parts.
  • Lay out, assemble, install, test, repair, and adjust electrical fixtures, apparatus, equipment, wiring, panels, breakers, and conduit.
  • Repair, install, replace, and test electrical circuits, equipment, and motors using appropriate tools and testing instruments.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electric controls, motor control centers, and programmable logic controls.
  • Examine work orders and converse with equipment operators to detect equipment problems.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks such as checking, cleaning, or repairing equipment to detect and prevent problems.
  • Maintain equipment logs recording performance problems, repairs, calibrations, or tests.
