Staff Accountant

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in La Porte County, Indiana. This role is ideal for professionals who possess strong organizational and analytical skills, and are eager to contribute to a dynamic environment. In this position, you will play a key role in managing financial operations and ensuring accuracy in accounting processes.

Responsibilities:

- Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable tasks, ensuring timely and accurate processing.

- Perform reconciliations of financial accounts to maintain data integrity.

- Prepare and assist with month-end closing activities and reporting.

- Utilize Excel to analyze financial data and create detailed reports.

- Maintain accurate records through clerical accounting functions.

- Work with general ledger accounts to ensure proper tracking and classification.

- Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting workflows.

- Support audits and compliance processes as needed.

- Leverage SAP software to manage accounting operations efficiently.

The salary for this role ranges from 63K-70K with medical, dental, vision and 401K. This is an on-site role.

Requirements

- Proven experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting.

- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting practices.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to prepare and manage month-end financial processes.

- Degree in Accounting or a related field preferred but not required.

- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
