Sr Product Development Manager

Job Description Remote + 1 day a week onsite in LA area. MUST HAVE BEAUTY DEVICE OR MEDICAL DEVICE EXPERIENCE.

We’re looking for a Sr. Product Development Manager to drive strategic product development and lifecycle management. You will focus on formulation, prototyping, testing, and go-to-market execution, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet consumer needs and business goals. • Lead end-to-end product development initiatives, including concept, formulation, prototyping, testing, and launch.
• Drive innovation by identifying opportunities in ingredients, technologies, and product formats.
• Define and oversee product testing protocols, quality control processes, and regulatory compliance.
• Optimize existing SKUs for performance, cost, and scalability, including SKU rationalization as needed.

• Maintain timelines and project plans for product initiatives, working cross-functionally with marketing, sourcing, production, and design teams.
• Lead seasonal project strategy roadmaps, including all product go-to-market and growth initiatives.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to determine pricing, positioning, and feature differentiation.
• Collaborate with leadership to translate brand vision into actionable product objectives.
• Monitor product performance and iterate quickly to maximize impact and consumer satisfaction.

• Develop relationships with local and international vendors and manufacturers to support product initiatives.
• Manage vendor performance, quality, and timelines to ensure product excellence.
• Optimize costs and minimum order quantities (MOQs) while balancing quality, service, and scalability.

• Proven experience leading product strategy and execution within consumer health, beauty, or wellness categories.
• Demonstrated success in shipping products that balance scientific credibility, user experience, and commercial performance.
• Strong strategic thinking skills paired with a bias toward hands-on execution and delivery.
• Ability to inspire, align, and communicate across teams from R&D to Marketing to Operations.
• Comfort operating at both strategic and tactical levels, with a readiness to roll up your sleeves.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to balance short-term deliverables (launches, cost optimization) with long-term innovation and brand evolution.

• 5-7 years of experience in strategic product development, product management, or project management in eCommerce, health, beauty, or wellness.
• Strong expertise in formulation, prototyping, testing, and regulatory compliance.
• Track record of launching innovative, high-quality products and managing end-to-end lifecycle.
• Familiarity with eCommerce platforms (Shopify, Amazon) and DTC operations.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data to drive product decisions.
• Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.
• Startup mentality: proactive, creative, and results-driven.
• Experience with FDA clearance or QSR compliance for medical devices is a plus.

• Sr. Product development managers with experience co-leading major product initiatives or supporting a Head of Product Development in a high-growth company.
• 5-7 years of product experience, with proven ability to execute and deliver results but not yet fully executive level.
