Overview

EM  is looking for a Budtender/Delivery Driver in La Mesa, CA. This is a full-time position with weekend and holiday availability. The schedule includes shifts between 6:30 AM and 9:30 PM, with three to five shifts per week. Pay is $17/hour plus tips, and mileage is reimbursed at $0.70 per mile on each paycheck.

Applicants should have a professional demeanor, exceptional customer service skills, and budtending experience inside a dispensary. If you have prior cannabis industry experience, include a detailed work history in your resume.

In addition to greeting customers, the Budtender must listen attentively, assess customer needs, educate and guide on product benefits and differences, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through sales service. The Budtender is also responsible for inventory and cash controls to prevent diversion and ensure compliance with state and local requirements.

Budtender Responsibilities
  • Greet all customers promptly and professionally upon arrival and departure
  • Provide excellent customer service by actively listening and guiding customers to products that best suit their needs
  • Educate customers on cannabis strains, edibles, concentrates, and related products
  • Maintain knowledge of current products, promotions, and industry trends
  • Operate POS systems accurately, including cash handling and transaction processing
  • Maintain strict inventory and cash control procedures to prevent diversion
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and Bureau of Cannabis Control regulations
  • Keep sales floor, POS counters, and workstations clean, organized, and fully stocked
  • Complete opening and closing duties, side work, cleaning, and restocking as assigned
  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and periodic deep cleanings
  • Maintain a clean, professional appearance and be punctual for all scheduled shifts
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management
Delivery Driver Responsibilities
  • Safely and legally operate a company vehicle while obeying all traffic and driving laws
  • Deliver products from the dispensary to customer locations in assigned order
  • Maintain communication with customers regarding delivery times and delays
  • Provide customer service during deliveries, including explaining products and highlighting specials
  • Ensure the safety and security of products, vehicle, currency, and self at all times
  • Communicate delivery status, delays, and route completion with the Delivery Manager
  • Complete required delivery documentation, reports, and driver summaries accurately
  • Make route adjustments as needed due to traffic or schedule changes
  • Schedule and monitor vehicle maintenance as required

Job Qualifications
  • Must be 21 years of age or over
  • Clean Driving Record Required
  • Personal Vehicle that is 2015 or newer Required
