The Coaching Coordinator works closely with the Director of Childhood Development to build a dynamic and successful coaching team. This position is responsible for training, team building, coverage, curriculum support, scheduling and completing evaluations, leading meetings, and coaching. The role is 50% on the field and 50% in the office.

Coach 5-12 Soccer Shots classes a week, dependent on company’s need.

• Assist the Director of Childhood Development with new hire orientation of all new team members
• Assist with creating a training schedule for new team members
• Schedule all coaching related shifts for teammates
• Support team members through 1:1 meetings
• Hold coaches accountable and follow up when necessary
• Oversee and complete on-field evaluations for all team members and trainers
• Assist with the development and continued training of the coaching team
• Seek out talent to promote internal team members
• Assist in researching, creating, and improving training methods for the coaching team
• Assist with monthly team meetings, creating agenda and team-building activities
• Attend weekly coaching department meetings (has read or is reading Traction, EOS)
• Serve as one of the first sub for absences or if coaches leave during the season
• Represent Soccer Shots at community and Soccer Shots run events, a minimum of 1 time per quarter (not to include our Tournaments)
• Responsible for all coaching inventory and gear

Ability to lift and carry sports equipment (Approx. 40 pounds).

• Reliable transportation to travel to classes all over San Diego and San Diego County
• Full-time availability including on Saturdays
• Ability to communicate with the Soccer Shots office while in the field
• Proof of a TB test within the past 2 years from the date of hire OR proof of a TB test taken within 6 months after the hire date; proof of a new TB test must be taken every 2 years
• Completion of 12 Early Childhood Education (ECE) units
• Proof of Pediatric CPR Certification completed within 2 months of the start date;
  Pediatric CPR Certification reissued every 2 years
• Completion of the Mandated Reporter Training; certification required
• Availability 90% of Soccer Shots business hours, Saturday’s required

Pay range
: $21-$26.50 per hour

• 17 paid holidays (only with completed ECE units)
• 5.4 days of accrued vacation a year
• 40 hours per week, plus mileage reimbursement
• Cell phone reimbursement monthly

• Quarterly Coach Performance Bonus
• $1 per hour raise at anniversary + 10 hours of PTO
