Who We Are
Soccer Shots East County San Diego, LLC is a team of passionate individuals who love what they do and work with children aged 18 months to 10 years old. We are on a mission to positively impact our San Diego community through the love of soccer. Our high-quality, high-energy soccer classes run weekly throughout San Diego County. We proudly serve and partner with preschools, elementary schools, and public parks;
from Imperial Beach to Escondido, we serve thousands of families every week. We care deeply about our brand, our teammates, and our students as we represent San Diego and soccer development.
The Coaching Coordinator works closely with the Director of Childhood Development to build a dynamic and successful coaching team. This position is responsible for training, team building, coverage, curriculum support, scheduling, completing evaluations, leading meetings, and coaching. This position is 50% on the field and 50% in the office.
Responsibilities- Coach 5-12 Soccer Shots classes a week, dependent on company’s needs
- Assist the Director of Childhood Development with new hire orientation for all new team members
- Assist with creating a training schedule for new team members
- Schedule all coaching-related shifts for teammates
- Support team members through 1:1 meetings
- Hold coaches accountable and follow up when necessary
- Oversee and complete on-field evaluations for all team members and trainers
- Assist with the development and continued training of the coaching team
- Seek out talent to promote internal team members
- Research, create, and improve training methods for the coaching team
- Assist with monthly team meetings, creating agenda and team-building activities
- Attend weekly coaching department meetings (has read or is reading Traction, EOS)
- Serve as one of the first substitutes for absences or if coaches leave during the season
- Represent Soccer Shots at community and Soccer Shots run events, a minimum of one time per quarter (not to include our tournaments)
- Be responsible for all coaching inventory and gear
- Ability to lift and carry sports equipment (Approx. 40 pounds)
- Reliable transportation to travel to classes all over San Diego County
- Full-time availability including on Saturdays
- Ability to communicate with the Soccer Shots office while in the field
- Proof of a TB test within the past 2 years or proof of a new TB test taken within 6 months after the hire date; proof of a new TB test must be taken every 2 years
- Completion of 12 Early Childhood Education (ECE) units
- Proof of Pediatric CPR Certification completed within 2 months of the start date; reissued every 2 years
- Completion of the Mandated Reporter Training; certification required
- Availability 90% of Soccer Shots business hours;
Saturday’s required
$21–$26.50 per hour
Full-Time Position That Includes- 17 paid holidays (only with completed ECE units)
- 5.4 days of accrued vacation a year
- 40 hours per week, plus mileage reimbursement
