Overview
Thrive Pet Healthcare is seeking Emergency Veterinarians to join our team as Traveling Emergency Veterinarians. The role combines the flexibility and great travel options of an independent relief veterinarian with the stability and safety of a full‑time position with outstanding, industry‑leading benefits.
Qualifications- 3 or more years of ER Experience or ER Internship trained + 1 to 2 years of ER Experience.
- Specialty/Emergency Experience strongly preferred.
- Surgical Experience/skills required.
- Full‑time position:
Travel veterinarians are obligated to an average minimum of 9 shifts per 4‑week block in order to qualify for full‑time benefits, PTO, and discretionary funds. - Part‑time position: A minimum of 3 shifts per 4 weeks is required. Eligible for part‑time benefits with travel coverage.
Shifts are managed through our online scheduling platform, Jobs Unleashed. Traveling ER veterinarians have the first pick of shifts and direct control of scheduling following guidelines set by the team manager regarding focus hospitals, regions, or shift types. Any shifts beyond the agreed minimum are optional and follow the compensation model listed below.
Compensation- Competitive compensation
- Shift/Pro model (above industry ER production %)
- Typical earnings from $200,000 annually to $300,000+ annually.

- 120 hours paid time off, equivalent to 4 weeks, with no impact on production, plus 2 additional days for CEs
