Our La Mesa team is expanding, and we’re seeking a compassionate and experienced LVN to join our dedicated clinical staff. WhatYou’ll Do
- Deliver direct patient care, monitor vital signs, and assess changes in mental or physical status
- Administer medications and maintain accurate documentation (including transcribing M.D. orders)
- Participate in treatment team planning and professional staff meetings
- Educate patients and families on medications, hygiene, and wellness
- Call in and pick up medications from the pharmacy as needed
- Lead in-service training for staff on medications, documentation, and safety
- Maintain a safe, clean work environment and comply with health/safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with staff and weekend nurses to ensure continuity of care
- Valid California LVN or LPT License
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (Psych or chemical dependency experience preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Calm, compassionate demeanor in high-stress situations
- Strong organizational skills, initiative, and ability to maintain professional boundaries
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to make independent decisions when needed
- Willing to cover our 2 locations in La Mesa
